SAGECROWD AWARDED CAMBRIDGE INNOVATION CENTER COHORT BY THE CTA IN BOSTON

Boston, MA, March 30, 2015 – Today sageCrowd announced it has been awarded a four-month acceleration program from the Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) initiative hosted at the famed Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in Boston.

The program is focused on accelerating technology and market growth in conjunction with an integrated mentoring program provided by Canadian Entrepreneurs of New England (CENE). The CTA is run by the Canadian Consulate team in Boston in partnership with CENE.

The Cambridge Innovation Center is one of a kind. Its spirit of innovation, energy and collaboration accelerates every firm. The CIC is host to more start-ups than anywhere else in the world and, to date, over $1.8B of venture capital has been invested into companies headquartered at CIC.

“We are grateful for this opportunity to enter the CTA’s program,” said Sean Sears, CEO of sageCrowd. “We are particularly excited to work with the CENE mentoring program and the highly qualified CTA team. It’s an ideal location for our next stage of growth. We're already partnered with Boston-based edtech pioneer LearnLaunch and Cambridge is home to Harvard and MIT with many of the world’s leading subject matter experts.”

SageCrowd uses modern learning science to deliver competency-based skills training for large enterprises. The goal is to rethink training by aligning it to the brain's ‘natural’ process for permanent memory creation. SageCrowd works with authors and subject matter experts, particularly those with comprehensive methodologies that transform enterprise performance.

“We participated in the CTA program in 2013 and it had a significant impact on our company, increasing company visibility, and providing connections to key industry players and access to capital,” says Ying Tam, CEO of Mindful Scientific. “I have been following the sageCrowd story since they participated in the Starting Lean program at Dalhousie University where I was involved as coach and mentor. The CTA is a great opportunity for them to accelerate their business and get to the next level. I wish them best of luck.”
